The Three Musty Fears are part of a side quest, and in this guide, I will showcase all three flag locations in Super Mario RPG.

You will first encounter the Three Musty Fears in Monstro Town. When you sleep in the bed, they appear before you telling you about where they hid their flags.

Dry Bones hid its flag under Mario’s Bed, in Mario’s Pad.
Greaper hid his flag behind the town’s sign in Rose Town.
Boo hid his flag between the “O” and the “A” in Yo’ster Isle.

After you get all three just go back to the Monstro Town, sleep in the bed, and they will reward you with the Ghost Medal.

Three Musty Fears Dry Bones Flag Location

Dry Bones will hint that he hid his flag under a green bed.

It seems like a random location since most beds have a different color.

The real location of this flag will be under Mario’s bed, in Mario’s Pad.

Mario’s original bed, and the one where you started the game from. You will need to go next to it, press the A button, and you will get the flag.

Three Musty Fears Greaper Flag Location

Greaper will hint that he hid his flag behind a wooden flower.

It may sound weird as a location, but considering the many different places you have visited before, it fits.

The real location of this flag will be behind the welcome sign in Rose Town.

Rose Town is a beautiful city with many flower petals scattered around, and the moment you enter the town you will see a wooden welcome sign. Go around it press the A Button, and you will get the second flag.

Three Musty Fears Boo Flag Location

Boo will hint that he hid his flag between “O” and “A”.

It may sound that Boo is spouting random letters. Your first thought could even be to go look in the Sunken Ship since you entered Pearls before as the password.

The real location of this flag will be in Yo’ster Isle. You will find it in the GOAL word of the racetrack.

Yo’ster Isle is the island of Yoshis, and when you first visit it, you can climb on Yoshi, and have a race.

When you first enter the area, you will see the GOAL. Go between the “O” and “A”, press the A Button, and you will get the final flag.
